Considering his political commitment, André Cazetien could not leave out "men and bears". Originating from the Valley of Aspe in the Pyrénées, he opens up his heart, his conscience and his energy to a common struggle.
The work made for him by Denise Sabourin is dedicated to Cannelle (the she-bear whose name in French hints at the colour and smell of cinnamon) and her baby-bear, so that her case can give rise to debate over the compatibility of man and bear in the same areas.
This issue of the balance in the bio-system exists in many regions of the world. At the Museum of Natural History in Orléans, the picture of Cannelle joined some fellow creatures, the panda and the collar bear.
Mankind might well have lost the Great Bear.
