Since his youth Marc’s search is to meet again with Syria as it used to be in his parents’ time – to him sixty years later, a land pervaded with tokens of their presence.
In the works by Denise Sabourin he recovers the power of the embroidery that his father enjoyed making after his archaeological research about Alep.
Marc draws from this joint work a means to strengthen friendly connections with southern peace-seekers. In his eyes, peace is symbolized by an olive twig or a vine-stock.
