Yasmina, a young French woman, wants to fulfil her share of the remembrance duty performed by the people from La Rochelle, by throwing flowers into the sea.
On the memorial day for the abolition of slavery, together with her friends Yasmina asserts her will to be set against all kinds of slavery.
She has taken up a piece of work by a Black woman-teacher from the College Art and Design in Savannah (USA), and made a fresh one in which she wraps herself and then goes to the harbour of La Rochelle with her friends in order to scatter white carnations from the quays.
This piece of work has been hand-embroidered by Algerian embroideresses.
